Munds Mountain Wilderness, Sedona

Munds Mountain Wilderness, Sedona On this late afternoon in spring, warm golden light from the west bathes Bell Rock and the Munds Mountain Wilderness to the east. We climbed the lower levels of Bell Rock, thought by many to be a vortex, or place of special earth energy. The red sandstones glowed in the clear cool air, contrasting with the deep green of pinyon pines and junipers. The layers of rock, like pages of an ancient book, record millions of years of life on earth. This is a place of great beauty and peace.
